When I married the King’s brother, I didn’t know what would happen. How could I?
I understood he had children with another woman—but she was elsewhere and they weren’t mine to raise. I understood he was blood-tied into our people—but he was the brother of King, and it was the King himself who approved our marriage. It was good for alliances, after all, but it wasn’t political for me. I did love him. I won’t ever deny that. How could I deny him after all this time? To deny him would be to deny myself. To deny the parts of my truths that have come to define me—though I never saw it coming.
I loved him and that was the beginning of everything.
When we married in Asgard, the sun was the colour of hay when it’s first stacked, yellowed and streaked with bluegreen, like the sky managed to touch it this time instead of the other way around. I remember the smell of magnolia on the air and it rained, a little sunshower, just for a few minutes. I remember feeling like a dragonfly who’d finally found her wings. He was the citrine to my amethyst. I loved my hardluck lover the way people love an underdog and I always cared for strays but he was the one I took home. I loved him under that sun and it’s the same sun that still shines now, after all this time.
How to explain a beginning you can’t find, other than this moment?

It seems to me as though Sigyn’s world was defined by love: love of Her husband, love of Her family as a whole. Given that Loki’s other wife is Angurboda, the mighty chieftainess of the Ironwood, are we really to believe that He would choose a doormat as a mate? It makes far more sense to me[…]to wonder at the quiet strength that must have provided a soothing haven to this most quixotic and fiery of Gods. Because She is never seen external to Her home and family does not mean that She is powerless. What it means is that She created inangard, the sacred enclosure of the home, for a God who was otherwise rootless. She rooted Him, balanced Him, accepted Him, and above all loved Him, It was Her choice to do this.

Sigyn is the Norse goddess of fidelty, loyalty, strength of will, and love.
She is the wife of Loki, and mother tosonsNari and Narfi.
These are ways I personally honor Sigyn and my personal associations with offerings and her. If you have something negative to say keep it to yourself, these are personal and work for me.
When you feel like you no longer have the strength to keep fighting, summon that strength and fight on in honor of Sigyn.
Use the runes Sowilo, Uruz, and Nauthiz in your craft or altar.
Spend the day taking care of someone in need whether it’s a sick friend, a retirement home, or a shelter.
Go for a hike that includes in a caver or climbable rock formations.
Decorate your home or garden in milk thistle, mugwort, sweet flag iris, willow, tulips, or cherry blossoms.
Honor her sons Narvi and Vali.
Worship her for the goddess she is, too often she’s only referred to as the Wife of Loki when she’s so much more.
Add something constructive to you self care routine(start one if you don’t have one). It can be reading a self growth/help book, journaling, or doing well being wheels weekly.
Light incense or candles of floral scents, something soft that reminds you of her. I personally associate her with jasmine, irish moss, and orchid.
Wear/decorate your home in pastel colors, dark brown, and black.
Leaver her offerings in a dish or bowl. I’ve personally found that she deeply loves gathered moon water(river, rain, etc) in her little glass bowl.
Wear or decorate with the crystals rose quartz, sodalite, lepidolite, and clear quartz.
Learn first aid or take a class on the Red Cross Center(USA).
Check in with loved ones and make sure they’re doing okay.
Leave her food offerings of butter, potatoes, sweet wine, bread, mushrooms, chocolate, or mac and cheese(UPG).
Listen to music that makes you feel calm and connected to the North. I like Lynn Hilary(thanks @whichwitchami), Celtic Women, and Freyja Catherine.
Be loyal to whatever you love when you feel you do not have the strength to do so and offer that to Sigyn .
Sigyn was the norse goddess of fidelity. She was the wife of the trickster god Loki and the mother to Narfi and Váli. Her name means victorious and she is often depicted holding a bowl over Loki in his punishment, to catch the venom of a serpent to prevent it from burning him.
