I’m having serious difficulties on how to be a polytheist with disabilities, how to make offerings and include the gods in my daily life with my disabilities and problems.
I don’t do much of anything lately after a relapse and even in my best moments I have a hard time with everything.
The only thing I do is e-shrines.
I don’t have many ideas or know what to do about it. It’s an important part of my life but I feel like I’m ignoring it because of lack of options.A low-spoons activity for one person may be more difficult for another depending on their disability and circumstances, but here are some things that I’ve done and seen others suggest:
- Offer water. As awesome as alcohol can be, water
is still symbolic and necessary for life and all that.- Listen to
devotional music, or just music you associate with your gods.- Research mythology or subjects associated with particular gods
- Watch/read/play media featuring your gods, if it exists. Or just media with themes they’d appreciate.
- Set an image related to your gods or faith as your phone or desktop background so you’re reminded whenever you look at it.
- Consider
dedicating a daily task you need to do anyway to a god, particularly something that you find
difficult to accomplish or something that helps you change your life for
the better: workouts, homework, cleaning, etc.Taking your medication could work too, if that applies.- Live by your gods’ values in everyday life.
- Use apps like Stance, Resistbot, and 5calls to speak out about issues important to your beliefs with minimal effort and no human interaction required
- Pray. It doesn’t have to
be anything elaborate, or recited out loud. Even a quick prayer while
doing something else will let the gods know they’re in your thoughts. If it helps, find or write prayers on a good day and just read them back on days that aren’t so good.

So, this is The Theological Post I’ve Been Avoiding that I briefly referred to awhile back. This post basically serves as an explanation for why I don’t post more about specific entities I know, and one of the (complicated, manifold) reasons why D doesn’t want me connecting D-the-person as [D’s title] on the public Internet. I was going…
I should try to find the updated source post for the idea, but I found that this general idea that Nornoriel talks about in this clicked when I came across a Luciferian’s post about [what I call] the comet-shard theory [because I needed a way to refer to it]. Pretty much Everyone I interact with immediately jumped on using it because it helps my brain to understand that They’re not going to respond as carbon copies of what others have talked about (and it helps to make sense of some of the time issues I’ve run into with some Norse Deities by interacting with younger and older versions of Them).
Case in point: m’Lady Sigyn. So many people talked about Her as a Child, and I initially tried to approach Her that way, but it did not click. I didn’t know why until after the umpteenth dream of a Domme holding rope and the key to a collar, and then it was like ‘oh, okay, my comet-shard is definitely not a young, innocent child then’. It doesn’t mean I’m wrong, or anyone else is wrong; it just means that my comet-shard isn’t the same version of Sigyn that others experience. I typically have to commission stuff because I don’t get the cupcake, pastel associations, but it ultimately doesn’t make a difference for anyone but Sigyn and I.

TRIGGER WARNING: discussion of suicide
NOTE: If you are depressed and contemplating suicide, please, please get help. If you have a trusted friend or family member, counselor, teacher, etc… that you can talk to, do so. Otherwise (in the US) you can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or chat online with someone who can help via IMAlive or CrisisChat. For international assistance you can check the International Suicide Prevention wiki for resources. No matter how bad things may seem right now, they will eventually get better. Taking your own life is not the best solution, and there are people out there who can help.~*~
Hello, I’ve had this question for a few months now and I’m still trying to find the right way to ask about it. I’ve been looking up people to ask, but it never seems to work. When I found you, I got excited. If you commit Suicide, will you not be welcomed in by the Great Mother and Great Father? I’ve been told that if you commit suicide out of Deep Depression, you wont be loved or forgiven by the divine. I’m sorry if the question makes you feel uncomfortable, but I had to ask.
Thank you.

People forget that Sigyn is Constancy
She could stop your existance if she wills it.She could tear your atoms apart and just collapse like a dying star. She could stop life and then re-start it.She could do the impossible by the flick of her wrist.
But she won’t.Because she’s Sigyn.

Beautiful!
Sigyn
Ok, so I’m at the point with Sigyn that I know everything I can know about the few times she is mentioned. What I want to know is are there any of you that have UPG that you’d be willing to share? On my end I associated her with water and earth, but specifically earth that’s near water. She also mentioned liking coral, and dolphins.
My personal experience with Sigyn is an association with lavender in everything. from candles to incense. She is associated with rose quartz (Known for helping one’s compassion) and amethyst (inspiration and creativity.)
She is very patient and can be understanding of your flaws and circumstances of worship. I have not had her be angry at me but her sadness at my decisions and lies has been reprimending enough (Its terrible to me, to be the reason she is sad 😦 )
I have had her come to a friend because of his loss of a child although he had no previous experience with the norse pantheon. Perhaps because he mentioned that he was having diffaculty with the anniversary of the loss and her helping another with that. Of course, children are very special to her. She has come across as motherly, and worshiping her includes her family. I found that Loki tagged along a little.
