You cannot force Sigyn ever to depart from the chosen path of Her heart. If that includes smiting someone, She’ll do it, but not as a reaction. She is above reaction. She does not react unthinkingly. She chooses consciously and in the fullness of Her power.

She is more than mere fidelity, she is strength, she is loyalty. She is the woman who saw her world crumble around her but still continued to stand. If that’s not strength, what is?
People often forget that Sigyn picked up a bowl to defend and protect her husband, not a knife or a sword.
My favorite thing about people who “don’t like Loki but love Sigyn” seem to not acknowledge that more often than not, the two are a package. Sigyn is more than aware of her husbands character, but I personally believe there’s a reason why they work so well.
Sigyn is vicious, Sigyn will be faster to the draw in cutting your neck open and sucking the blood out of you. And this is something multiple people have talked about. Sigyn isn’t you’re passive goddess, she isn’t your love and light here to balance Loki. She is a force to reckon with and I love her so much for it.
There’s a part of me that wants to see someone try and work with Sigyn after shit talking Loki and His followers.
Sigyn scares me. Mostly She’s been supportive, but there was something that happened this summer where I got a taste of this – kind of cold, pragmatic, really unsympathetic attitude about something She decided would be best for me – Her, not Loki, He just went along with it, and the whole situation really surprised and dismayed me. It has, in fact, worked out very very well, but. It’s one thing to know deities will make decisions like that, and another to be on the receiving end of it and get what felt like, “What are you gonna do about it, huh? Suck it up. I don’t care how you feel about it.”
I’ve never worked with her myself, but I do include her in my general offerings, and my impression of her is as follows:
Just think about it. She’s Loki’s wife. If you think she is more unlike him than she is like him you’ve got another thing coming to you. Sigyn is sneaky, she must be clever enough to keep up with him. She’s probably clever enough to outwit him.
Sigyn is calculated. Loki is more likely to make a mess of something because he didn’t think it through or didn’t care enough to think it through. Sigyn doesn’t do that. She sits back, she thinks, she waits. She weighs up her options and then she decides.
Sigyn doesn’t take shit. She doesn’t take shit from Loki, and she doesn’t take shit from anyone for choosing him as her husband. She certainly won’t take shit from you.
The last paragraph seems pretty dead-on; I haven’t enough experience with Her to weigh in strongly on the rest, but I have no doubt that She can be every bit as strategic and plot-y as the deities Who have more of a reputation for that.
I very much agree trying to work with Sigyn without at least having respect for Loki (even if you personally dislike him) would be a very very bad idea.
Sigyn is very patient in my experience, but that doesn’t mean she takes shit. Sigyn knows the respect she deserves and while she doesn’t expect more than that you’d damn well not try to give her less – and part of the respect she wants is respect for her family unit. (I do not wish to work with her children, myself, but I’ve paid my respects to them for her and they have tokens on my altar by her.)
I suspect she’s one of those people who would chew her partner’s ear off for doing something shitty and then give you the Look of Death if you DARED to step in and start berating them for something you had no stake in. Sigyn and Loki are a Thing, and you’d damn well better remember it.
