Sigyn by rafha-chan
It’s not as though fidelity makes of one, some sense of purity.
It’s not as though loyalty comes so very easily.
it’s not as though love is without it’s prices.
If mankind is allowed it’s complexities, then should not the gods be given theirs? He is her burden, to care for him when her sons are lost. To say there is no hate, no anger at the loss is the very greatest disservice, and not all of that internal violence is directed at them. No, some, some would be directed at the only love she has left. To say that he is the only one who wanted to watch the world burn is ludicrous.
Compassion is not always weakening.
Loss does not always make you stronger.
Sometimes, you are not allowed to fall apart, because there would be no one there to pick up the pieces. For you hold those same pieces of the man you love. There are times when you have to hold it all inside, and just wait for Ragnarok to come.
one-cup-of-anxiety-to-go-please:
Sigyn, Goddess of fidelity
And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I’m right or wrong
And down the waterfall
I know that life won’t break me
When I come to call, she won’t forsake me
I’m loving Angels instead~ Angel
I finally do something traditional for a change and this is the only way + blog tumblr will let me upload it to
gooooddamnit

url-inspired graphic for sweetsigyn
i’m no sigyn, she says
even as venom seeps through the cracks in her fingers
and the god of lies laughs brokenly
rusted silver tongue corroding
under poison rain

A bit of my concept for Sigyn, the Ever Devoted wife to Loki.
“Sigyn was always faithful to her husband, and did not forsake him even after he had definitely been cast out of Asgard and confined in the bowels of the Earth.”
You know how I love a flair for tragedy.
