Soooooo… this is… my interpretation of Sigyn! Which is very different from the stuff I usually post, I guess.
I love how there’s an already canon version, but everyone’s making fanon versions 😛
I reaaally like the Sigyn/Loki pairing, for months now, because of a random fanart, but I’ve never done anything, other than stalking the tag and whipping up ideas that never come to fruition
It usually takes me a long time to do things for a ship and by the time I get to do them… I’ve usually grown out of it. But I really didn’t want to do this, so here she is~~~~ The small bundle of disguised stubbornness and sarcasm!!
I always (well since I knew who she was) envisioned Sigyn as this very knowledge-searching person, with deep connections to the realm, a nature’s child. Sort of… the image I have in my head reminds me of Aerith in FF7. Vanaheim people rub off on me as the “cetra” of 9 realms. And I’m not sure if it was a mention or an image I found of Vanaheim, or just the name, but it’s set to me that Sigyn is from Vanaheim. Maybe it was the mythology? I don’t even remember.
You know how when you start headcanoning a characters appearance, it’s almost impossible to change it in your head? Unfortunately by the time I saw that the MCU had establish that Vanirs have Asian features it was too late I mean… I still read fics that describe Sigyn in various ways and I still think of the images above…
Anyway, we have that many different canons from Marvel (and a canon Sigyn that is, which I’m very conveniently forgetting about), that I feel like fanon can stretch between them, if that makes sense.
I really hope I get to work more on her….
Also…I just saw
Katheryn Winnick on “Bones” and thought… “Wow, she’d made a lovely Sigyn!!” And then google and:
